Trifextra challenge Ninety-two, Farewell

It was actually the 20th of February that this scene played out

Trifextra: Week Ninety-Two
Trifextra: Week Ninety-Two
Trifextra challenge

"It is the first day of November and so, today, someone will die."

Not a slow and lingering death, swift and merciful at his behest.
"He'll feel no pain?"
"None, he's on a morphine drip."
"Disconnect all life support."
They pull the plug on my father

    1. Nope it doesn't but he knew I'd make the right decision, His advanced health care directive stated "No Heroic Measures", and that all it would have been.

  4. This is the hardest -to let go!I have been there & it broke my heart though we knew there was no hope but to give that consent to withdraw the high end drugs which were making life possible-never want to be there ever!A poignant take on the prompt.
